 John Wooden quote is very true because it is always way more important of the type of person you are than any other sport. For instance if your a very good person your going to get along with everyone your probably not going to have any enemies. This quote could be a bit confusing but once you think about it, it makes a lot of sense because being a good person is the number one thing in life. Being the number one person could make you be one of the top persons in school and could become very popular, and people could trust you. A basketball player can be very good but it takes skills and practice, and being a good person takes a lot more than skills it takes beyond everything you could imagine. Another thing could be not choosing the wrong with your friend because when you choose the wrong most likely your not going to be able to play any sport in school. You have to know how to choose the right so you could be able to show off all the talent you have in any sport. This is why being a good person is way more important than anything else.
